Why wedding photography in Leipzig
Couples looking for a Leipzig wedding photographer are usually planning a day with very little driving in it. The registry office in the Neues Rathaus, portraits by the canal or in the floodplain forest, and a reception in a converted mill or a manor outside town tend to sit within twenty minutes of one another. That changes the shape of the day: the hours go to guests rather than transfers. Leipzig is also markedly cheaper than Munich or Hamburg while offering no fewer rooms, and many couples spend that difference on a venue with brick walls and tall windows rather than a hotel ballroom. For the photographs that means generous daylight until the evening, and then spaces that need a plan once the sun has gone.
For a Saturday between May and September, allow twelve to eighteen months. In March the book fair takes hotel rooms and restaurant tables for several days, which guests travelling in will notice. April and May put fresh green in the floodplain forest for portraits; in high summer the best hour on the canal is late afternoon. A Friday or an off-season date is often still free six months ahead.
How the session runs
Coverage starts with getting ready and runs ten hours, to the dancing, with extra hours available if the party goes on. The planning call produces a running order, and we walk the venue beforehand. The couple portraits themselves often need no more than half an hour close to the reception.
