Reviews

Every review on this page comes from someone who booked and paid for a session. We ask once, after the gallery has been delivered, and we publish what comes back — we do not select for flattery and we do not remove a review because it is critical. Before anything is published one thing is checked: that the review belongs to a booking that actually took place. German competition law has required since 2022 that a site says whether and how it checks its reviews, and this paragraph is that statement.

Each one names the place and the type of session, because that is what makes a review useful. "Great photographer" tells you nothing; a family session in Hamburg in December, or a headshot day for a team of twelve in Frankfurt, tells you whether the experience resembles the one you are about to book. So read reviews as a record rather than a recommendation: did the price match the quote, did the gallery arrive when promised, and how did the photographer cope with children, with rain or with a running order that slipped? Details like those carry over to your own session; an adjective does not.

Ratings feed the aggregate score, and that score is arithmetic rather than editorial: it moves when the reviews move. If work slips, it shows here before it shows anywhere else, which is precisely why the number is published rather than summarised. Where there are no reviews yet, no score is shown and none is claimed — an aggregate rating invented to fill a space is a false statement to a search engine as much as to a reader.
