Why boudoir in Leipzig
Boudoir photography in Leipzig has an advantage few cities share: rooms in old industrial buildings that can genuinely be hired. Tall north-facing windows give an even, soft light that is kind to skin and needs no flash going off. Brick, wooden floorboards and plain fabric make a quieter setting than a hotel room with a patterned bedspread. The most important part of the session, though, is not the room but the agreement made before it. Who will be present, what happens to the photographs, where your limits are — all of that is settled before anyone picks up a camera. The door stays closed throughout, and nobody walks in unannounced.
Because the session is indoors, the season hardly matters; north light works as well in January as in June. Weekday mornings are the quietest time in the buildings. Allow two to three weeks so the room can be reserved and the preparatory call held without hurry. If the photographs are meant as a gift, factor the gallery delivery into the date you choose.
How the session runs
Before the day we talk by phone about style, clothing and boundaries, and you receive the written agreement on use. On the day the room is ready and warm, and you have privacy to change before anything starts. Present are only the photographer and anyone you bring. We start fully dressed and slowly, and you see frames on the camera screen as we go. After two hours, 30 edited photographs go into a password-protected gallery that only you can open.
