Why corporate headshots in Stuttgart

Many clients looking for a Stuttgart headshot photographer work in companies where precision is part of the identity: carmakers and their suppliers, mechanical engineering, engineering consultancies, software firms, law firms. How the session runs

We set up in a room of roughly four by three metres: neutral backdrop, portable lighting and a fixed camera position. Allow around ten minutes per person, so twenty people fit into half a day. For the second, environmental background we find somewhere in the building that shows what you do — a lab, an approved area of the production floor or the lobby. Security and confidentiality rules are agreed with you beforehand. Within 48 hours, everyone photographed has 15 to 20 retouched frames, cropped square and 4:5.

    Grabkapelle auf dem Württemberg

    A neoclassical rotunda at four hundred metres, rows of vines all round it and the whole Neckar valley below. The one place around Stuttgart where architecture, vineyard and a view fall into a single frame — and it is open to the west, so you keep the sun to the end.

    Stäffele am Eugensplatz

    The best known of Stuttgart’s eight hundred flights, looking out over the roofs and down into the bowl. It is steep enough that every step gives a different camera height and narrow enough that a session runs here without an audience.

    Schlossplatz und Neues Schloss

    The city’s grand square, with its column, its fountains and the palace facade behind. It is wide and open, so merciless at midday and good in the morning — and from ten it is the thoroughfare for half the centre.

    Killesbergturm und Höhenpark

    A forty-metre cable-net tower that visibly moves as you climb it, in a park of lawns and flower terraces. For families it is the most practical address in the city: space, shade, somewhere for children to be, and a subject within walking distance.

    Weinberge Rotenberg und Uhlbach

    Steep slopes above the Neckar, twelve minutes from the main station on the S-Bahn. The tracks between the parcels are public; the rows themselves are not — which is not a formality but the difference between a welcome visitor and damage to someone’s vines.

Questions

Can you photograph in our production area?

With your approval, yes. Production areas often come with safety rules and confidentiality requirements, so we agree beforehand which area may appear in the background and what protective equipment is needed. We pay particular attention to screens, prototypes and whiteboards so that nothing confidential is visible.

Do you cover sites in Sindelfingen or Böblingen?

Yes, both are in our area, as are Esslingen, Waiblingen, Ludwigsburg and Tübingen. If your company has several sites, we schedule separate sessions with an identical set-up so that the portraits still read as one series. Send us addresses and headcounts, and we will reply with a quote by email.

How much time should each employee block out?

About ten minutes in front of the camera, plus a few minutes to arrive, straighten a jacket and check hair. It is best to send us a schedule in blocks so nobody waits. A mirror and a coat rail near the room help more than you might expect.
