How the session runs

We arrive before your guests to photograph arrivals and quiet moments with witnesses and family. During the ceremony we work within the office's rules, including the rings and the signing. After congratulations we gather everyone for a group photograph, ideally against a calm background rather than traffic. Then come forty-five minutes of couple portraits nearby — by the Rhine, in the Hofgarten or on a quiet side street, depending on where the ceremony takes place. After three hours we are finished, and 150 edited photographs follow within a week.

    The oldest public park in Germany: mature trees, a pond, and a small rococo palace at the edge of it. Five minutes on foot from the Königsallee and still quiet — the default for family and maternity sessions when the brief is green.

Questions

We are not German. Can you work in English at the registry office?

Yes. We speak with you and your guests in English throughout, and with the registry staff in German where needed, for example about where we may stand. The language of the ceremony itself is arranged between you and the office, including any interpreter the office asks you to bring.

Can our portraits be on the Rhine promenade?

Usually, yes. How far it is depends on where your ceremony takes place, and we count the walk or short drive within the forty-five minutes. At midday the open promenade gives harsh light, so after a noon ceremony we often prefer the shade of the plane trees or the Hofgarten.

Is three hours enough if we have lunch afterwards?

The package runs for three hours from the agreed start. If time is left, we photograph the beginning of the meal, such as the welcome or the first toast. For longer coverage, book extra time or a full day; we settle that before the date rather than at the table.
