Honeymoon session

At a wedding both of you are working. On a honeymoon neither of you is, and that is the entire difference — it shows in the first frame and it does not go away. A wedding gallery contains two people managing a day; a honeymoon gallery contains the same two people with nothing scheduled, which is why couples who have both nearly always end up hanging one of these rather than one from the wedding itself.

Ninety minutes, two locations within walking distance of each other, at the hour that actually works where you are staying. Book as soon as the trip is fixed: which hour is usable depends on the season and on which way your neighbourhood faces, and a fortnight’s notice is the difference between somewhere chosen for the light and the square outside your hotel. Forty edited photographs, private gallery within 48 to 72 hours.

Where it happens depends on the trip. In Berlin, Hamburg or Munich the choice is a neighbourhood with some character rather than a monument; in Heidelberg it is the old town and the river; in Dresden the banks of the Elbe. Around Lake Constance and in the Black Forest the session moves to the water or the edge of the woods, which suits couples who came for the landscape rather than a city. As for what to wear, whatever you packed for dinner that evening usually works better than something bought for the occasion, and flat shoes you can walk in beat new ones.

Enquire through the form with your dates and where you are staying. The reply comes by phone or email, usually within a few hours, with a fixed price and a suggested time, and asking costs nothing. If severe weather rules out the slot it is moved at no charge, which is far easier when you tell us about more than one free window during your stay. The photographs are for your private use — share them, print them, put them beside the wedding album — and nothing from the session goes online on our side unless you have agreed in writing.
