The default is: nothing. Without separate, written consent no frame from this session appears in a portfolio, on a website, on social media or in a submission to a magazine. That follows from § 22 of the German image-rights act and from the GDPR anyway, but it is written into the contract explicitly, because in this session in particular the difference between a right you theoretically hold and an undertaking you take away in writing is the one that matters.

A closed set means, in practice: the room is shut, nobody is present except the people you want there, and someone accompanying you is welcome at any point. Two hours are allowed because the first thirty minutes nearly always go on the camera ceasing to be a foreign object in the room — that is planned for rather than wasted. Thirty edited photographs in a password-protected gallery to which only you are given access.

Preparing mostly means bringing what you feel comfortable in. Plan three or four outfits: lingerie, an oversized shirt, a piece of clothing you think of as yours. Wear loose clothes without tight waistbands on the way, since elastic leaves marks on the skin that take a while to fade. If you want your hair and make-up done professionally, book it before the session; natural make-up usually suits soft light better than heavy make-up does. And bring music you like — two hours in a silent room feel longer than two hours with your own playlist.

You enquire through the form, and the reply by phone or email assumes nothing: you receive a fixed price and the written agreement on use before you commit to anything. Only options priced in advance change the cost, such as a longer session or faster delivery. Use of the photographs is private, and whether you give one as a gift, print it or show it to no one is your decision alone. Should you ever agree to publication, that consent can be limited to particular images and channels and withdrawn at any time for the future.
