Published pricing

Most German photographers’ sites publish no price and ask for an enquiry instead. There is a commercial reason for that — answering only after you know the budget lets you price differently — and it costs the reader the one piece of information she opened the page for. So there is a number here for every service.

They are starting prices, and that is meant honestly rather than as a formula. What moves them is named rather than negotiated: a longer session, a second photographer, delivery within twenty-four hours. Third-party costs are separate — admissions, permit fees charged by the state palace administrations, trade-fair accreditation. Those amounts do not come to us, and hiding them inside a flat rate would only make it look as though they did not exist.

The quote is confirmed in text form before you book and does not move afterwards. Nothing is booked and nothing is paid on this website: a contract exists only once the date, the scope and the price are confirmed in writing — in law, what is shown here is an invitation to enquire rather than an offer.

Prices do differ between cities, and not because of the postcode: they differ because of travel and permit costs. A session in the Nymphenburg palace park costs more than one in the Englischer Garten because the permission costs money. That appears in the quote as its own line.
